Ownership and Leadership

In 1993, former Globetrotter Mannie Jackson purchased the team, becoming the first African-American to own a major international sports and entertainment organization. Under his leadership, the team’s revenue tripled within three years, and its size quadrupled over five years. As of 2013, the Globetrotters are owned by Herschend Family Entertainment, the largest family-owned themed attractions corporation in the U.S.
